Hey!
My name is Dan, I started created this project to help speed up my workflow for the game I've been working on the past few months. As I was working on prototypes I realised I always need the same specific animations that were not available in the style I wanted so I figured I'd create my own. I wanted proportions closer to older games like Castlevania SotN, Dark Souls and Diablo 2 that use realistic style that can still fit within the constraints of pixel art as a medium.
I've recently spent a lot of time studying and improving my workflow, so I hope you enjoy the new approach! I'll try and update this when I can, please let me know if there are anymore animations you'd like to see here and I'll do my best to add them. I hope this can help you get your game projects off the ground sooner. Please feel free to use this pack as a base to add your own characters, and please modify it however you see fit. (But please do not redistribute or sell)
If you use the pack in anything you make please let me know! It really helps motivate me to make more seeing the awesome work people make with things like this.
All the best,
Dan
I'm open to suggestions for more! Let me know what would be most helpful to you in the comments below and I'll do my best to get to making them.

Hi, I love your work so much that I paid for it! But, can you make a roll animation? (Or a motions without a sword, or a dagger motion If it's not too much to ask) Thank you.
Hi, Thanks for the suggestion & the support! I've added a roll animations & removed the sword & shield from all spritesheets. You'll find both if you download the updated project files. :)
No way! Thank you so much! I really appreciate your work. I love it. Your high-quality works are amazing.
You're welcome!
The demo version has "no outline" in all the file names; is there an outline version? (It might be good to have those in the demo, too, for comparison.)
In any case, this is clearly a 5* asset. Those animations are top-notch smooth; there are so many frames in there that if someone feels like adjusting certain animations, they can do some drop frames pretty much anywhere to create all sorts of dramatic effects. And that file size is pretty tight.
Good work!
Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't include the outline version in the end, I'll update the file names to avoid confusion.
Very appreciative of your kind words too! I've just started making assets for others so it's very encouraging to hear. I did think about editing the animations more to tighten it up, but landed on leaving as is as some users might appreciate the extra frames for certain projects.
Yeah, having a ton of frames is super useful when you want to make certain parts of the animation match a sound effect, or seem faster.
