0.5.4 Escape Mechanic, Boss Delay Event, Boss Reveal Animation & Bugfixes
Hey everyone!
I hope you’re all doing well! I’ve been hard at work on Hunter's Hand, and I’m excited to share some recent updates with you all.
- Light Occluder Added: I’ve added a light occluder to the CardUI, which enhances the particle effect interactions. It’s a small touch, but it really makes the visuals pop!
- Warding Circle: There’s now a warding circle event that delays the ancient, giving you a chance to escape with a temporary delay and rare cards. (No background for this event scene yet)
- New Eclipse Animation: You’ll also notice a brand new eclipse animation for the initial ancient reveal, next up will be individual animations for each ancient reveal.
- Added new escape mechanic that gives the player a % chance to escape at the cost of not getting any battle rewards - can also escape from the ancient, which delays it temporarily and gives the player a rare card...
Bugfixes
- fixed Wraithbark Rooted Beyond should apply mindveil to player, not self.
- fixed Shade of Sylvan Torment Sylvan Vengeance: Might not applied at start of battle
- Fixed Map battle spaces shown as red even when no hazard. ordering issue caused the hazard to show correctly on the map, but not add it to the battle
- fixed cards not being added to player deck from colour decks in Clues scene
- updated instants script to use match statement and added extra safety measures
- removed "draw 1 Black card" text from clue responses for better immersion
- Made sure enemy cards always show the correct value in the rules section - was showing %s unless hovered.
- Fixed relics that changed player draw amounts - added safeties to make sure relics are deactivated before being removed.
- Fixed corrupted path showing next floor + floor after - is supposed to skip a floor.
